What do we mean by Possibility?

There are the simple possibilities

• It might rain tomorrow
• I may marry him
• You could win the lottery
• This may be the last time

They tell us something might happen and it might not

There are more complex possibilities

• If it rains tomorrow, we may not go out
• If I marry him, we might stay together for ever
• If you win the lottery, you may never have to work again
• If this is the last time, maybe I will feel free

Then there is Possibility

• Possibility allows for everything
• It rules out nothing
• It arises rather than being sought, emerges rather than being designed, and is responsive rather than fixed
• We do not have another word for it in English and can only get close to what we mean by hyphenating words to create something entirely new
• Maybe it is that-which-emerges-when-conditions-allow-for-freedom-from-habitual-thinking-turning-back-to-the-old-and-attempting-to-predict
